We believe that God is revealed in three different ways:
Through Jesus Christ, who walked on earth, giving us an example of how we should live our lives. Because of the radical call Jesus extended to everyone, He was arrested, tried, and crucified. His death serves as an act of forgiveness and self-giving love that calls us to follow Him. Three days later He arose from the dead, defeating death and giving us the opportunity to have eternal life with Him.
Through God's Holy Spirit, which empowers us to minister. This is how we sense the presence of God today. When we sense that God is urging us to act or minister, it is God's Holy Spirit we sense. When we ask God for guidance in our lives and when we make decisions, it is the Spirit of God that leads us.
Through the Bible, which is God's word about God. To learn about the character and nature of God, we study God's word. Systematic, regular study of the Scriptures is essential to our spiritual growth. The Bible is our infallible guide in matters of faith and practice.
We believe that each person is in need of a personal relationship with God, and God desires such a relationship with each of us. Because we have all sinned, our relationship with God is damaged, but God is gracious and generous, and wants to love us - even when we aren't very loveable.
We believe that the church is to be a mission movement in this community and in the world, helping people experience the grace of God and grow in their personal relationship with God.
Value #1: Glorifying - We believe that the most important thing we do as a community of Christ-followers is gather together to worship, praise, and experience the presence of God.
Value #2: Gathering - We believe that small groups are the biblically-instituted instrument God wants to use so that we can better understand God's great love for us and ehlp one another become deeply devoted followers of Christ.
Value #3: Growing - We believe that every Believer is to become a deeply devoted follower of Christ, and we commit ourselves to prayer, the study of God's Word, and fellowship with other Christ-followers.
Value #4: Giving - We believe every Christ-follower should give to God their abilities, time, and resources cheerfully, regularly, generously, and expectantly.
Value #5:Going - We believe lost people matter to God, and they ought to matter to us, too.
